Who Will Give You the BEST Advice

Who Will Give You the BEST Advice

by Jane Powell
“Listen to your inner wisdom.”
Advice from others may share the benefit of experience. But, not trusting your own inner wisdom can hold you back. Even though the intentions of others are good, sometimes their views and words are negative. They may even encourage you to believe that they know your needs better than you.
When you hear advice that makes you doubt your dreams and abilities, stop! Believe in yourself first, and see all other viewpoints from that perspective. Your situation can always change for the better and what you want, though ambitious, is possible. Wisdom offered by others may be absolutely right -but it doesn’t mean it’s right for you.
You know your strengths and capabilities. You know your ability to hold on to an idea and make it work despite the odds. In the end believe in your own wisdom, first, and thank others for theirs.

Triumph Over Hardships

“Think life is hard – and it’s hard!”
When you dwell on your problems or what you don't have, you generate negative energy, and chances are your life won't change for the better. Why not focus on the possibilities?
When you make up your mind to do something, you'll find you can. Instead of thinking about barriers in life, reach out after opportunities. Instead of seeing a locked door, see a key. Instead of thinking about the rough mountain climb ahead, see yourself standing on the summit.
Today, resolve to let go of the struggles and embrace your potential. Your shift in attitude will shift your life from the shadows into the sunshine.

Understanding why

If you have the desire but lack the skill, the strength of your desire will push you to develop whatever skill you must have. But if you have skill and no desire toward which to use it, that skill won’t do you any good.
The desire to achieve is what drives achievement. Other factors are important, yet without sufficient desire the achievement will not happen.
Before you focus on how you will do it, be sure you’re clear about why you must do it. Before you gather the tools and resources, gather your thoughts and feelings about exactly what purpose you intend to fulfill.
Competence and effectiveness come from knowing what and how. The driving energy to persist comes from understanding why.
You must have passion to successfully work through all the obstacles that stand in your way. And that passion comes from purpose.
The most fundamental necessity of any undertaking is to understand why. Once you know why, the power of your purpose will put all the other pieces into place and bring the achievement to life.
