The Power of Your Smile

The Power of Your Smile

by Jane Powell

“There are hundreds of languages in the world, but a smile speaks them all.”
A smile not only crosses geographic boundaries, it also crosses the boundaries of culture, background, age and beliefs. What’s more, it works the same magic in them all!
A warm smile can make a child feel better, as surely as it can cheer up an old man. It can soften hearts and firm up commitments. It can mend friendships and break tensions. It can reassure and give support. It can say ‘I love you’ and ‘congratulations.’ It can make deals. It can make friendships. It can make memories or even make your day.
But perhaps, most important of all, a smile can make the world a better place for the person who gives it – you!

"You'll never be brave if you don't get hurt. You'll never learn if you don't make mistakes. You'll never be successful if you don't encounter failure."
Choosing not to be brave enough to tackle the challenges in your life that may end up hurting you, will definitely end up hurting you in the long run when we refuse to even attempt to take those risks. Sometimes the best way to learn is from our own past experiences, and if we have no eye opening experiences that we committed in the past, chances are we are going to encounter future instances and challenges in our lives that we will have to learn from one day.
Going through our lives we have to remember that it sometimes takes knowing how failure may come so that we can best avoid it and receive a victory. Excelling in life means that we must be brave, and that there will be mistakes we make when we are going for what is in our hearts. We don't ever really know what success really means until we have failed before seeing success.

You can keep going

Even when the going gets rough, you can keep going.
After all, you’ve been doing it all your life.
A disappointing result will stop you only if you assume that it is supposed to stop you. However, you can just as easily assume that all your results are prompting you to keep going.
After all, when you’re getting results of any kind, you’re making a difference. If the results are not to your liking, you can fine-tune your efforts and greatly improve those results.
Many things are simply not going to happen with just one, or three, or even a dozen attempts. Yet anything becomes possible with enough persistence.
Keep going, and allow your efforts to build upon one another. Keep going, and transform the disappointments into achievements.
You have what it takes to keep going, because all it ever takes is just one more step forward. Keep going, and work your way steadily to the richest rewards you can imagine.
Ralph Marston
