Become Strong, Confident and Strong

Become Strong, Confident and Strong

by Jane Powell
“A life consistent with your values makes you secure, confident and strong.”
What do you believe in? What do you stand for? In other words what are your values?
Values lie at the very heart of all you do as a woman, because values create the core of your personality and character. Only when your values are clear and you honor them, can you experience consistent self-confidence and self esteem.
Think about what’s important to you. Ask yourself, “What do I value?” “To what do I aspire?” and even “What do I despise?” Honest answers to these questions make you secure, confident and strong.
Do you live a life consistent with your values? If not, make changes until you can answer, “Yes!

May you find serenity and tranquility in a world you may not always understand.
May the pain you have known
And the conflict you have experienced
Give you the strength to walk through life
Facing each new situation
With optimism and courage.
Always know that there are those
Whose love and understanding
Will always be there
Even when you feel most alone.
May you discover enough goodness in others
To believe in a world of peace.
May a kind word, a reassuring touch,
A warm smile, be yours every day of your life,
And may you give these gifts as well as receive them.
Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.
Teach love to those who know hate,
And let that love embrace you as you go into the world.
May the teaching of those you admire
Become part of you,
So that you may call upon them.
Remember, those whose lives you have touched
And who have touched yours are always a part of you,
Even if the encounters were less
Than you would have wished.
May you not become too concerned
With material matters, but instead place
Immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart.
Find time in each day to see the beauty
And love in the world around you.
Realize that each person has limitless abilities,
But each of us is different in our own way.
What you may feel you lack in one regard
May be more than compensated for in another.
What you feel you lack in the present
May become one of your strengths in the future.
May you see your future
As one filled with promise and possibility.
Learn to view everything
As a worthwhile experience.
May you find enough inner strength
To determine your own worth by yourself,
And not be dependent on another's judgements
Of your accomplishments.
May you always feel loved.

Objective advice
If you were someone else, what advice would you give yourself? If you could step back from being you, and look objectively at what you’re doing and how you’re living, what changes would you recommend?
It’s easy to imagine the straightforward advice you’d give to someone else, because you don’t have to follow that advice. Now imagine applying that same level of honesty and objectivity to your own situation.
Remember that you are not your problems, as intimate as those difficulties may feel. You do indeed have the ability to step back and to see clearly what you must do.
You have it within you to rise above every difficulty. You are absolutely capable of knowing and doing what will bring true fulfillment.
Take an honest, loving look at where you are. See the very real and positive possibilities available to you.
Rise above the limitations you’ve been imposing on yourself. Live your true values and fulfill the best that you know is within you.
Ralph Marston
