What Your Emotions are Trying So Hard to Tell You

What Your Emotions are Trying So Hard to Tell You
by Jane Powell

“Your emotions are your messengers.”
To be true to yourself and to those around you, it’s a must to learn to manage your emotions. It is a critical step toward living a happy, successful, and fulfilled life. This doesn’t mean that you control them by ignoring them or repressing them, it simply means listening to them. What are they telling you?
When you let your emotions control you, you miss the message that they carry. When you ignore them for fear of what they might cause you to do or feel, they simply return as anger later.
Observe your self-talk as your emotions peak and fall. Tune in and identify any judgments you might have about the way you feel. These thoughts translate into what you believe to be true about yourself. They can be accurate or untrue and damaging. You decide if change is in order.

If you want to get yourself to do it, get yourself to love
Doing it. Whatever you love to do, you’re always eager to
Do.
But how do you find the way to love doing something that may
Not seem so lovely? Make yourself fully aware of the reasons
Why you do it.
Even with the most unpleasant job, there’s a positive reason
Somewhere within you why you have chosen to do it.
Understand and appreciate that reason, and you’ll have
Something to genuinely love about the job.
In some way, everything you do is connected to what you
Greatly value. Otherwise, you simply would not do it.
Instead of resenting what you must do, rejoice about what
You can do to make a meaningful difference. Instead of being
Ashamed of yourself for avoiding the task, be delighted with
Yourself for getting out in front of it and getting it done.
If you do what you love, you’ll soon become successful. When
You truly love what you do, success is already yours.

Total acceptance
It is through total acceptance of what is, that you gain total control of what can be. By allowing life to come to you, you empower your purpose to radiate out from you.
You cannot successfully fight against what is. For the moment you choose to fight, you’re fighting against a past that cannot be changed.
Accept the energy that comes to you in this now moment, whatever flavor that energy may be. Apply that energy to create a beautiful future filled with joy and positive purpose.
Embrace each circumstance as it comes into your awareness. By doing so you will gain access to its positive possibilities.
Live from a place of deep-seated peace. Instead of jumping into a reaction at every turn of events, exude a consistent, confident purpose.
Lovingly accept every bit of life as it comes your way. And you will always find much to truly love.
 Ralph Marston
