Free Yourself from Indecision

Free Yourself from Indecision
by Jane Powell

“Choosing not to decide weakens your power.”

Making a decision is one thing. Putting off making a decision until the moment has passed is something else.

A decision made after thought or reflection, has value. But, choosing not to decide is one more way to give your power away.

It’s time you played an active part in life. So, take responsibility for future consequences. When you do this, you’re empowered by the control you give yourself.

Remember, failing to make a decision drains your power away. It fuels fear and weakens your resolve. When you walk away from a decision simply because it seems too hard, you give up control. You become a passive onlooker instead of an active participant in life.

Have the confidence to make decisions. You’ll come out stronger – whatever you decide!

Don't Quit

When things go wrong; as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is tough with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You might succeed with another blow,

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem the worst that you must not quit.

You have life
Even if you have nothing else, you have something more precious than the purest gold, more rare and desirable than the brightest diamond. You have life.

You can sense, you can think and you can reason. You can make decisions and then act on them.

You can make a difference, no matter what. Even if you were to lose everything else, you would still retain the ability to become the person you decide to become and to live in the way you have determined to live.

At times it may seem that the whole world is against you. But that assessment is based on past history, and the past does not equal the future.

That’s because you stand solidly in the present. You’re able to break free of whatever has happened in the past and to create your future in the way you desire.

Today, in this moment, in this place, you have life, and the countless possibilities it brings. Truly appreciate what you have, and with it you can do spectacular things.
