Care for Others Without Resentment

Care for Others Without Resentment
by Jane Powell

“Allow yourself comfort and joy.”

Think about everything you’ve done for other people this week; the ways you brought comfort and joy to partners, children, parents and friends. Now think about the things you did for yourself. Chances are, there’s a big imbalance, right?

As women, we need to remember to nurture our own emotional needs and make our well being a priority. Give yourself permission to feel tired or sad. Comfort yourself with a leisurely bath or an early night with a great book. Stay connected with others and seek joy through a lunch with friends. Why not treat yourself to a bouquet of your favorite flowers? There are so many things you can do.

It’s important that you comfort yourself so you have the energy to take care of others without resentment. Through this you feel comfort and joy!

You'll be amazed at how much you can get done if you'll just get busy and do it. You'll be amazed at how much progress you can make if you'll just get started and then keep going.
Worrying, blaming, speculating, resenting, second-guessing and regretting won't get anything accomplished. Action is what makes things happen.

Complaining about how little time you have will take even more time away from you. So just simply accept that time is limited, and make full use of it.

If you wait until conditions are perfect, you'll be waiting forever. Go ahead with the way things are, with what you have, and get busy creating new value.

You are surrounded by great abundance. Yet in order to benefit from that abundance, you must make positive and diligent use of it.

Stand up straight, take a deep breath, put a smile on your face and get busy making good things happen. This is your moment to act, and to lift up the world.

There are so very many good things in your life right now. Whatever may be, you always have plenty of great reasons to be exceedingly thankful.
Of course there are problems and challenges and difficulties. Yet there are even more opportunities for fulfillment and possibilities for joy.

Instead of complaining about what you don't have, be truly thankful for all the goodness and richness that you do have. Instead of resenting those who have wronged you, remember and rejoice for all those people who have lifted you up.

When you find yourself worrying about what might be coming, stop. Recall with gratitude that you've made it through every challenge, and know with confidence that you can forge success out of whatever comes your way.

Even those deepest desires that are yet unfulfilled give you plenty of reason to be thankful. For you can eagerly look forward to the deeply satisfying experience of bringing those desires to life.

Feel how good it is and feel how empowering it is to fill yourself with gratitude. With a thankful heart, you'll lovingly and successfully make your world an even better place.
